PE and Sports Funding
The government is providing additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. This funding is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sport in schools.
At St. Vincent’s we are utilising the new Primary PE & Sport funding to improve the quality and breadth of our PE & Sport provision through continually developing teaching and learning in PE, encouraging our pupils to adopt healthy active lifestyles and to take part in a wide range of sports and physical activities including more competitive school sport.
