Welcome back to a new school year! The children have all settled back into the new school routine extremely well!
This year, Year 2's School Councillors are Harry Hampson and Pippa Southall. Congratulations! There were many worthy candidates who all gave wonderful presentations to the class, however when the votes were counted, these two won the majority of votes! We are sure they will represent our class fabulously.
A few reminders:
Routines: The Key Stage 1 doors will open every morning at 8:55am. Please ensure that you arrive at school within this time. At the end of the day, Year 2 will be dismissed at 3:25pm via the same door. Thank you for your support.
Homework:
Spellings: New Spellings will be given out each Thursday, for a test the following Thursday. Please ensure that your child comes to school every Thursday with both Spelling Books!
Maths/English: CGP books will be sent home every Friday and children will be asked to complete one 'Weekly Workout' from each book, each week. Please ensure completed Homework is brought to school on a Monday morning.
On-line Learning: Spelling Shed: This is a great way to support the learning and consolidation of the Spellings your child will be learning this year. Please take the time to have a look.
My Maths: Throughout the year, we will set various activities on My Maths to support the learning that is taking place in the classroom.
Times Tables Rock Stars: Later on in the year, children will be given login details for TTRS. This is a fun way to practise times tables.
